The 17th of September marks World cleanup day around the world which is an official movement promoting a clean planet. this movement Unites millions of volunteers, governments, and organizations in 191 countries to tackle the global waste problem and calls for the building of a new and sustainable world.
World beach clean up day in Malta and Gozo.
This year, For the first time ever, a number of university organizations will be collaborating under the banner of SOW 365 (Save Our World) to co-host the nationwide beach clean-up in Malta and Gozo. An event has been organized and launched on Facebook under World Beach Clean Up Day Targetting popular beach areas in Malta and Gozo to remove waste, Clean, and Make a statement about the importance of the environment for everyone involved!
Beaches/Areas to be tackled are
- Pembroke beach,
- Pretty Bay and Wied il-Buni,
- Rinella bay,
- Riviera bay
- Ramla l Hamra in Gozo.
