November is with us and it is time for us to provide you with the monthly event list! Here are a few events happening around the island, brought to you by the lovely student organisations and more.
The MAKE Stationery Drive
This initiative hosted by MAKE encourages everyone to donate stationery or any other resources that are deemed educational enough for them to be donated!
Boxes will be placed in the University of Malta Library and Mater Dei Reception Area. Donations will go towards Fondazzjoni Sebh and Richmond Foundation! These boxes will be present for more than a month – ample time to donate.

Dissecting Domestic Violence: A JCA Seminar
JCA‘s seminars are back! Dr. Ruth Farrugia, Professor Frances Camilleri-Cassar, and Judge Rosemarie Aquilina will be the guest speakers present discussing domestic violence law.
The event will cover difference aspects of domestic violence such as gender-based violence, the relationship between culture and domestic violence and the impact of it.

Camus u x-xogħlijiet tiegħu maqlubin għall-Malti minn Toni Aquilina
Professor Toni Aquilina from the Department of Translation and Terminology Studies of UoM will be giving a talk on the importance of research when translating established authors. He will be concentrating mainly on Albert Camus’ work.
Albert Camus, a French-Algerian journalist and novelist, made great contributions to a wide range of issues in moral philosophy ranging from terrorism and political violence to suicide.

From Rona with Love
Without a doubt, this pandemic has changed the world in so many ways. While some focus on hygiene and economy, some see it from the perspective of sex and love.
From Rona with Love follows the lives of 8 people who are looking for love, sex and connection during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by real life stories that took place over the 9 weeks of lockdown earlier this year in Malta.

Pop Culture Online Fest
Due to the current situation, the annual Malta Comic Con had to be cancelled and therefore, the organisers are hosting a Pop Culture Online Fest! Influenza Vaccination Drive
MHSA and MMSA are collaborating together with the Infection Control Unit for an influenza vaccination drive. Students will be visiting the wards and administering the vaccination to staff and patients. This is open to nursing, mental health nursing, and midwifery students.
