From November 18th to 26th, the European Week of Waste Reduction shed light on environmental concerns, prompting NGO WEEE Malta to launch the VapeDrop campaign.
This initiative serves as an essential educational tool, raising awareness of the pressing issue of improperly discarded single-use vapes. Moreover, the campaign emphasises the collective responsibility to combat environmental risks with the motto “Use a bin, let’s all win.”

Placing accessible vape recycling bins in stores across Malta is one of their efforts to fight the issue. The aim is to protect our environment by encouraging responsible disposal and promoting proper recycling practices.
Damage Through Vapes
The VapeDrop campaign seeks to safeguard the natural environment from the hazardous impact of lithium batteries found in vapes. These batteries, when improperly disposed of, can lead to consequences including fires and the release of harmful chemicals.
The campaign urges individuals to be part of the solution by actively contributing to the reduction of environmental risks.
