Tonight Thousands are expected to Walk for Puttinu

Later this evening, thousands of people of all ages are expected to come together in aid of Puttinu Cares for the 14th Edition of the Good Friday Walk from Mellieha to Isla; a fundraising event which has found its place on the calendar of many just like the President’s Fun Run.

Last year over 10,000 people participated and tonight it is YOUR chance to be part of the crowd too! The walk starts from Mellieha at 2am and all throughout there will be plenty of stations serving hot drinks, beverages and fruits. Transport is also provided for free and there is also emergency transport for all those who feel tired and can’t walk all the way to Isla. All of this, together with the fun of being part of something bigger, is against a donation of 10 euro for Puttinu Cares to help all those who are faced unexpectedly with an unimaginable journey to fight for their life.

People who have participated in this event over the years, always express satisfaction for having been part of an event with such a noble cause. Many say that the pain one feels after all that physical exercise is just a small part of what those fighting cancer feel everyday!

This evening is your chance to be part of something big. Take this opportunity to help make a change in the lives of those who need our help. Help make what Mr. Joseph Vella started years ago, bigger and more fruitful than the previous 13 times. Invite your friends and don’t forget to donate.
