The Knights, back to their Winning Ways

Tonight, the University of Malta Futsal Team, Mdina Knights, managed to earn all three points against Marsascala. The team won the match with a score of 2-1, despite having their head coach, Kyle Sultana, and their number 46, Leo Muscat, both missing.

The Knights’ goals were scored by Ranald Portelli, who equalised in the first half and Cleaven Portelli, who secured the winning goal just a few minutes away from the final whistle.

Today’s important victory saw the Knights climbing to the 11th position in the league standings, just one point behind Imqabba.

Speaking to The Third Eye right after the match, Cleaven Portelli stated that it was a balanced match during which the Knights had their positive moments but were less concentrated at other times. He added, “when we had our chances, we showed what we are capable of. Now we have a long road ahead. We need to gather the maximum amount of points possible.”

On a final note, Portelli thanked all the supporters for backing the squad during all its moments.

The Third Eye would like to congratulate the team for today’s victory and would like to wish Mdina Knights the best of luck with future endeavours.
