Meet Gabriella- a 20 year old with a passion for art, travelling and entrepreneurship. Having just finished her degree in Business, she is now working full speed ahead to create handmade resin treasures.
Her small local business, ‘Little Treasures’ is collection of lovingly handcrafted home decor and jewellery. Everything is created from the heart and is a reflection of Gabriella’s passion and enthusiasm for art.
Why Resin?
Gabriella first came across resin in September of 2020 as she was scrolling through TikTok.
I was instantly intrigued and after watching multiple tutorials, I decided to purchase the equipment and start experimenting with resin as a hobby.Little treasures officially started earlier this year in February. I still didn’t know much, but it was a great opportunity for me to explore my own creativity and learn what people actually like and don’t like. It was extremely difficult for me during the beginning, as I had to balance out my final year of studying for a BA in Business Enterprise, and running my own small business.
What items can we expect to find inside the ‘Little Treasures’ Box?
Gabriella’s small Maltese business is pretty much Aladdin’s Cave of Wonders. You can find an array of unequivocally unique items, from earrings to pendants and key chains. Gabriella also creates personalised gifts in all shapes and sizes for her customers. If you’re not sure what get your girlfriend or your mother to show them how much you love them, we recommend you pay Gabriella a visit.
Although this is Gabriella’s full-time job, she absolutely loves it. She shared her thoughts with The Third Eye:
I have always been a fan of jewellery, so being able to create them from scratch myself and watching other people want to buy my handmade jewellery is extremely rewarding.
Gabriella’s story comes to show that a dash of creativity and whole lot of passion is capable of creating absolute treasures like these.
Little Treasures, Resin and Beyond
Although for the time being Gabriella is working with resin primarily, she intends to broaden her horizons. She named her store ‘Little Treasures’ to keep her explorative eye wide open. With this being said, Gabriella shared:
I am planning on expanding my brand further and start creating other handmade products in the near future.
Gabriella closed off her interview with The Third Eye by stating:
My dream as an entrepreneur is to see my brand flourish and be successful. I would love to have my own online shop, where people can just browse through and order whatever they like. It is definitely something that I would love to work on, especially if I plan on expanding the brand further with additional product offering.
