The 2021/2022 Executive Team

Jack Cassar is a 22-year-old, full-time Criminology student, who enjoys delving into topics regarding politics, media, scouting and animals. An avid lover of food and cooking, who enjoys the occasional trip around the world, experiencing the culture and cuisine. Currently serving as President of the Third Eye and also having served as Events Officer, Public Relations Officer and as Secretary General, Jack coordinates with the team, sharing the knowledge he has gained from these previous roles, to create quality and informative content for all of our readers and followers.

Maya is a 20-year-old student currently in her second year of Bachelor of Communications. You won't come across her often as she is mostly cooped up in her room writing and sipping tea. Her passion for writing flourished after taking up the role of Content Manager last year. If she is not writing, she is most probably trying out new hobbies or volunteering at the local dog sanctuary. Maya is intrigued by everything and anything, always on the hunt to try out different things, keeping her days as interesting as possible.

Xylona is a 21-year-old student sitting in her Master in Diplomatic Studies after graduating with a Bachelor of European Studies with Communications Honours. She loves topics related to human rights, animal rights and security relations. Xylona considers herself a huge Potterhead, if she is not watching a movie, she would probably be sipping some tea. The Third Eye has paved a way for her to keep on doing what she loves; fighting for what is right.

You might remember Rebecca from last year’s role as a Media Officer, for those who don’t, the 21-year-old is now the new Public Relations Officer for the upcoming academic year. She’s currently on her third year as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Digital Arts student as well as a Student Representative for the MAKS Faculty. Apart from her passion in design and student activism, she also holds a special love for music and loves singing, playing the piano, ukulele and guitar whenever she has the chance to do so.

George is a 21-year-old student at the University of Malta who is currently in his final year reading for Bachelor of the Built Environment. He sees life as a never-ending collage of opportunities and experiences. This is mirrored in his role as a Branding Marketing Manager when merging unique ideas to create new and innovative designs while practising the fine art of procrastination.

Nicola's in her final year of University, sitting for a Higher Diploma in Psychology. When she's not struggling with the absurdities of student life, you can find her by the beach or chilling in a hammock. Nicola discovered her secret passion for writing at the beginning of the pandemic whilst doing an internship with UGS. Her love for music, philosophy and all things expressive is her primary source of inspiration. She's deeply intrigued by the vastness of the human experience which drives her to seek out meaningful connections and share stories on what really matters.

Gabriel is a 22-year-old nursing student who enjoys a casual trip around the world. You can always catch him with a camera taking a snippet of the simplicities of everyday life while listening to his favourite music. When he is not in a hurry, you can find him cycling from one place to another.

Andreas Bugeja is a 23 year old free spirit currently studying Communications. If it were possible he would be listening to music without end, anything from Thom Yorke to MF Doom. This love for music pairs very well with his passion for cooking and analogue photography although it does occasionally lead to him getting completely distracted. Consistently striving to be authentic, he implements this mentality as an events officer by pitching unique ideas whenever he gets the chance.

Maria is a 22-year-old Communications graduate who is currently in her first year reading law. During her free time, she loves to binge-watch anything from ‘The Peaky Blinders’ to ‘The Crown’. She’s an absolute coffee lover and loves to channel her inner Gordon Ramsey during stressful times.
