Amongst it’s several projects and initiatives, the University of Malta Rowing Club ( UM Rowing ) is once again launching its coastal rowing courses.
Starting on the 17th of March 2022, the spring training courses brought to you by UM Rowing will cater for both indoor and coastal rowing , with indoor rowing fitness sessions being offered over the span of 6 weeks , and include at least 2 sessions of indoor rowing per week. The indoor rowing sessions are held at the University of Malta Sports Hall, whilst the on-water sessions will be held in Marsaxlokk.
Whilst aiming to teach individuals how to row, and helping them to improve their fitness , the training sessions which UM Rowing is currently offering will be of help to individuals who are:

  • Complete beginners looking to improve their fitness
  • Individuals interested in trying coastal rowing
  • Fitness enthusiasts looking to improve their indoor rowing technique
  • Individuals wishing to take up rowing competitively (Indoor and/or Coastal)
    In addition to spring training sessions which will tackle indoor and coastal rowing, UM Rowing is also offering a 6 week ‘on water training course’ , which consists of 2 indoor sessions and ‘ on water sessions’ which will be held on Saturday mornings ,weather permitting . With regards to Indoor Rowing sessions for both courses , these will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, running from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
