A student, who wishes to remain anonymous, has voiced their concern to The Third Eye regarding the new way of issuing stipends.
More than two months after the start of the new scholastic year, the aforementioned student has not yet received the one time grant.
“They have requested the following documents: my A’ level certificates, and a copy of my ETC employment history, but they didn’t accept a screenshot from the official ETC page using my E-ID,” complained the student. Being a final year student, they believe that their university grades should be given more importance than A-level certificates, and that it is simply unfair to have to pay to get an "official’ letterhead from ETC with the same data that could be shown by means of a screenshot. The majority of students who simply uploaded a screenshot, or did not upload their certificates altogether, were still granted their one time grant.
“I just don’t understand why someone who is doing their final year has to present their A’ Level and school-leaving certificates, and, more importantly, why not everyone is being treated in the same manner.”
