Sfumat – Caught between what is seen and what is not

Alex is never seen. He only appears through the words and actions of those around him, mostly through those of his father, Charles, and his daughter, Maria. Therefore, members of the audience will form their own opinion about Alex and about how the story unfolds: a continuous conflict between the concrete and the abstract, between what is seen and what is not, between what is said and what remains unsaid, thus this is something out of the ordinary as the main character is usually present on stage.

‘Sfumat’ is a theatrical presentation produced by the Salesian Oratory in Sliema and will involve young actors, accompanied by live original music and choreography. The original production is being put up by the Salesian Oratory youths in Sliema to mark the 10th anniversary of the Salesian Worship Team – a group of youths within the Oratory who have been dedicated to animating the weekly Sunday mass and other activities for the past years.

This production is being held this Friday 28th and Saturday 29th September at Teatru Salesjan in Sliema.
