Sexual health has been long ignored across the Maltese islands. Being neglected by most, few schools introduce sexual education to their students, and by barely even scratching the surface. With lack of knowledge, comes a lot of misinformation.
For this reason, The Third Eye is developing a Sexual Health Campaign. This is a year-long initiative committed to shedding light on the vital importance of sexual health. Our mission is threefold: normalise, educate and highlight the need for open communication on matters related to sexual well-being.
Over the course of the next year, our campaign will delve into a variety of topics ranging from sex misconceptions to understanding the nuances between STIs and STDs, and covering LGBTQIA+ sexual health. We’ll also be collaborating with experts working in the field.
We believe nothing should be off the table when it comes to sexual health education. Our goal is to create a safe and judgement-free space where individuals can learn about one of the important aspects of their lives — an aspect which is all too often overlooked.
