"The Busker’, as a band, was formed in October, 2012, by Dario Genovese (guitar+vox) and Jean Paul Borg (drums + percussion). The two had been already working together in other musical endeavours but then due to their excellent musical chemistry and similar musical tastes they decided to opt for “The Busker” blending 1960s pop/rock with folk/rock, their two favourite styles.
With various inspirations ranging from The Beatles all the way to folk heroes such as Bob Dylan, "The Busker’ made a huge success and making it on the local charts with their EP #FOUR. In the past two years, they even saw two new additions, David Grech on Bass/Keys and Sean Meachen on the Saxophone.
2017 started with a bang. On February 13th, a company called "Infosys’ released an advert called “To love is only human, still” which featured The Busker’s song, "It’s You’ from the album "Telegram’. This made a huge hit with almost half a million views on Youtube and 7 million views on Facebook.
