Rebekah Caruana to lead the UM Rowing Club for 21/22

UM Rowing

Following the Annual General Meeting held on the 24th of February, UM Rowing Club’s new executive team has been elected.

The fresh faces of the team are as follows:

Rebekah Caruana shared her thoughts with The Third Eye about her newly elected role as President;

Although 2020 had its fair share of challenges, namely COVID-19, it was also a turning point for the Club as it was the year we brought two Coastal Rowing boats to Malta, with these being the first of their kind to ever be in Malta. We have a number of projects in mind for the next couple of years in order to continue growing as a sports club, offer more opportunities to students, as well as see rowing grow as a sport on a national level.

Caruana carried on as follows;

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing executive members for their work and dedication, and we hope to keep working with them in the years to come. I’m sure the team we have formed this year will carry on with the amazing work that has brought the Club to where it is today.

The Third Eye would like to congratulate UM Rowing Club‘s new executive team and wish them the best of luck for the upcoming year!
