As of today at 12:00PM nominations for candidates for KSU have officially closed. Only SDM have announced a full team of candidates for KSU, whilst Kris Bajada has continued his running for KSU President as an independent candidate which he had announced back in February.
Pulse not contesting
However a significant usual contender for KSU Elections has not announced any candidates. This contender is of course, Pulse. Sources close to The Third Eye have assured us that they in fact did not submit any nomination for candidates, and will therefore not be contesting for the elections. This would be the second year in a row that Pulse have not contested for KSU Elections, leaving the majority win automatically go to SDM’s team of candidates. Fortunately, this year Kris Bajada will continue contesting independently for KSU President, so an election will still be held.
The Third Eye has attempted to contact Owen Michael Grech, Pulse President, earlier last week to ask if they would be contesting and if not, why. However, at the time of writing we have not received any response.
This news will be confirmed by KSU during their AGM this Thursday 30th April when the Council announces the nominations that were received.
