In light of the recent issue pertaining to the indefinite postponement of clinical placements for the 2013 Intake physiotherapy students, as well as the resit sessions for five final year students, the KSU and MHSA are pleased to announce that this matter in question has been successfully resolved.
Confirmation from both the Department of Physiotherapy and Unjoni Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) has been received regarding the suspension of the Industrial Action concerning the lack of remuneration for the physiotherapists’ supervision services during placement sessions. Furthermore, both organisations have been notified that the placements shall commence from tomorrow, the 13th of September 2016 and continue normally indefinitely.
KSU and MHSA express their hope that such scenarios are avoided through proper communication and cooperation with all associated entities. Both organisations regret that students were innocently caught in the middle of the situation. KSU and MHSA hope that no student will ever be the target of any dispute or issue from now on.
KSU and MHSA will continue working together to ensure that such an issue does not occur again, and that students keep receiving the highest quality of education.
