nosnow/noalps have to be one of the biggest band names in the Maltese music scene. With their pop-y indie rock coupled with other influences such as punk, reggae and ska, nosnow/noalps have literally gone the distance from playing at the yearly Farsons Beer Festival, Isle of MTV Music Week and local music awards such as 89.7 Bay Awards and the MMAs to travelling around Europe to further develop their music.
After their last album titled Romantikpolitik in 2011, they skyrocketed and had quite a couple of busy years touring Europe with locations such as Denmark, England and Italy. Last year, they relocated in Denmark for a period of time playing a few shows and worked on a couple of songs which led to the recording and release of their single N.E.W last October. This single was a little taste of what was yet to come for their new EP titled GO GO GO GO. By just seeing the title standing on its own you can already sense the energy and vibe that this EP has to offer radiating out of it, mainly mirroring the bands hectic past year of travelling and playing and creating new music.
We were really excited that we, The Third Eye, had to get a chance of a first glimpse of the EP which is being launched this coming Friday at Zion. The EP offers an array of sounds, from energetic tunes which make you want to be in the front line of a gig jumping in the middle of a mosh pit, to relaxing ones which you can sit back and listen to in your down time. It is an EP filled with diversity in sound, so even if you aren’t one so accustomed to the scene, you are bound to find a song which will appeal to your musical taste. You can honestly tell that, as an EP, it is a true reflection of emotions, the real spectrum experienced by everyone. The album consists of not only singles, such as ones released or played in the past couple of weeks, the self-titled "GO GO GO GO’, Black Panther, Heavy and N.E.W, but there are also a couple of remixes of other tracks also within the EP.
nosnow/noalps will be launching their EP this coming Friday the 27th of June with a live performance at Zion, with supporting acts Berne, Jane Doe and K ? S S E T T E.
