The KSU Room Allocation Report (RAR) results were announced yesterday after a turbulent year for student activism. There were many changes to the upper half of the placements which have normally remained quite stable year in year out.
MMSA kept their place at the top of the ranks for their 9th consecutive year, however, this was one of the few similarities from last year. ELSA Malta rose by one place to Runner-up. TDM2000 snatched 3rd place, just ahead of SDM who came in at 4th place, going down two places.
The entire list of the results can be seen below in comparison with last year’s classification.
GħST, MIRSA, and GUG were the only 3 organisations that did not submit their report this year when compared to 2019. There were also no newcomers to the classification.
These results came after the RAR regulations were updated this year by KSU. This was done with efforts of making the report itself less of a hefty task to be done by organisations, as well as to give smaller-scale or newer organisations a better chance at improving their standing in the rankings.
It is also worth noting that all organisations had to persevere through the obstacles brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. That said, all partaking organisations deserve a well-earned congratulations for whatever their ranking is on the classification.
The RAR is a report prepared by student organisations recording their past year. It is done so that offices and freshers’ stands are assigned according to the results by KSU.
