Following the tragic death of Matthew Bartolo, a seventeen-year-old from Kirkop, who was described as an outgoing guy with a golden heart, The Third Eye spoke with his bereaved girlfriend, Marija Micallef.
“The relationship with Matthew was indeed a beautiful one,” explained the teenager who is still under shock. “Matthew always told me that only death could separate us, and that is what did.”
In grief, Marija confessed that if she could, she would join him so she could take care of him.
“My life without him will be very difficult and, as we always promised each other, no one will replace him. I didn’t consider him to be just my boyfriend, but my husband,” concluded Marija.
