Following the death of Alan Rickman at the age of 69, Harry Potter fans are invited to light a candle outside their homes in memory of Professor Snape.
The mind behind this idea, Leontine Mallia, explained that since virtually no one has a wand, a tribute could be paid to the actor by means of this gesture.
The 22 year-old Bachelor of Education student added that apart from placing the candle in front of their homes, fans can also take a picture of the candle and write #raiseyourwands.
“For most of us, Harry Potter movies were a very important part of our childhood and have left great impact on us. The character of Professor Snape taught us the lesson to love each other unconditionally,” concluded Leontine Mallia.
