The Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU) through its Kummissjoni Politika Socjali (KPS) calls upon Honourable Chris Agius, SportMalta and all relevant authorities concerned with sports infrastructure in Malta and Gozo to act swiftly and decisively to help remedy the problematic situation of lack of venues directly affecting the sport of Futsal in Malta.
KSU believes that all disciplines should be aided in finding adequate venues to hold their official competitions, and that it is in the interest of the State to care for the stability and success of associations governing said sporting disciplines.
Futsal in University has been growing in popularity and respect exponentially due to the participation in the official FMA Championship of the University of Malta Students’ Futsal Team for these past two seasons.
The student body would welcome the possibility of having competitive Futsal matches played at the Tal-Qroqq Indoor Pavillion on Campus as this would be the ideal venue for supporters on campus to follow their team in action and help the sport grow further.
