KSU President on Newly Elected Rector

Following yesterday’s announcement of Professor Alfred Vella, chemistry professor, as Rector of the University of Malta, and successor of Professor Juanito Camilleri, KSU (Kunsill Student Universitarji) President, Rebecca Micallef, spoke to The Third Eye.

“On behalf of KSU, I would like to congratulate Professor Alfred Vella for this new role,” stated Micallef. “Being that he has been Pro-Rector for Academic Affairs for the last ten years, he certainly knows how things work at the University of Malta and will surely see that the projects initiated by Professor Juanito Camilleri will be carried out.”

“Of course, both Professor Alfred Vella and his contender, Professor of sociology, Godfrey Baldacchino had the adequate credentials,” added Miscallef.

“Finally, I would like to point out that KSU always enjoyed a positive relationship with the rectorate, which helped us to lobby for what was necessary on Campus and to be the best representative we could be for the student body,” concluded Micallef
