Although November has just commenced, the hype for this year’s KSJC (Kunsill Studenti Junior College) election has begun a long time ago.
A source close to the Junior College Council has revealed to The Third Eye that this year’s Annual General Meeting is planned to take place on the 11th of November, which means that the election will be taking place on Friday 20th November.
The same source has also revealed that the current KSJC PRO (Public Relations Officer), Keith Grima, shall be re-contesting this election on SDM (Studenti Demokristjani Maltin)’s ticket, whilst none of the other present KSJC members are likely to be amongst SDM’s candidates for the upcoming election. Another student who is expected to contest on behalf of SDM is Julian Zammit Lupi, who also happens to be Steve Zammit Lupi’s younger brother. Steve Zammit Lupi, who occupied the role of General Secretary within KSJC from 2012 to 2013, currently forms part of SDM’s executive team. Kurt Bezzina is also expected to be part of SDM’s group of candidates.
On the other hand, a different source has suggested that 1st year Junior College student, Owen Michael Grech is very likely to contest for this year’s KSJC’s election on Pulse’s team. Jennifer Bertone, who currently occupies the role of General Secretary within Pulse’s Junior College executive, shall also be joining Pulse’s candidates, together with Claude Abela and Leonie Mifsud.
Both Pulse and SDM are expected to make their respective launches later on this week.
