KNZ Executive to Meet Tomorrow

Earlier today, KNZ’s (Kunsill Nazzjonali Zghazagh) International Officer, Tyler Cassar, who was elected into office following this organisation’s Annual General Meeting six months ago, announced his resignation from office on his personal Facebook page, expressing his disappointment with regard to the Council’s attitude, referring specifically to the organisation’s President.

Describing the demoralisation which he experienced, Cassar stated that he received defamatory attacks and also false accusations during his term. In his letter of resignation, Tyler Cassar explained how KNZ President Andrew Micallef tried to discredit him from the very beginning of his term, and failed to welcome him within the organisation.

When contacted by The Third Eye, Andrew Micallef explained that, as the organisation’s President, he cannot make any declaration at such an early stage, as this would be unfair on the rest of the executive. Yet, he confirmed that the KNZ executive shall be meeting to discuss a reply to Cassar’s letter of resignation.

A member of the Council’s executive noted to The Third Eye that Tyler Cassar was one of the people who pushed and supported Andrew Micallef’s nomination and selection as KNZ President a few months ago.
