Rumours regarding Ira Losco’s pregnancy just wouldn’t stop over the past weeks, with fans repeatedly questioning the truth about the rumour. The word is on the street now as Ira Losco publicly announced that she’s pregnant:
“I’m ecstatic that my boyfriend Sean, family and friends are here to support me all the way. To add to all the excitement I’m also celebrating my First Mother’s Day as a mother-to-be. Sean Gravina and I are very very happy to finally share this news with you all which some of you might have guessed already… We never thought we would have been so blessed with such beautiful news accompanying this Eurovision experience which has given me so much strength both as an artist and as a private person”
Besides this good news we should not forget to mention that Ira Losco is currently the a big star and bookies have been narrowing their odds on her to win Eurovision all week. We should not forget Ira’s achievements throughout the years other than her pregnancy.
- Her career spanning over 15 years has seen her win more than 20 music awards
- She has appeared in front of audiences ranging from 1,000 to 80,000 and has performed alongside renowned international acts such as Elton John, Katie Melua, Maroon 5, Akon, Mel C, Ronan Keating, Bob Geldof, Tokio Hotel, Gigi D`Alessio and Claudio Baglioni amongst others.
- She placed second in the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song "7th Wonder’ with just 12 points away from winning the competition, where the majority had agreed that Ira was the real winner in 2002. That 20-year old girl in the sparkly halter neck and the glitter blowing towards the end, which will never be forgotten amongst the Eurovision fans, is now a full grown woman representing Malta once again in 2016.
- She has publicly expressed her support for a number of social causes in Malta, including LGBT rights and anti-bullying campaigns amongst teenagers in 2014 and was nominated for the first LGBTI Community Awards organized by the Malta Gay Rights Movement. She also supports YMCA initiatives for homeless people and is involved in campaigns against animals in circuses, as well as being a speaker for Self-Empowerment and Self-Worth
