Gozitan Students’ Subsidy Now to be Divided per Month

On the 19th of October of 2018, Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana announced that the €500 subsidy granted to Gozitan students now is going to be divided per month, rather than per 3 months.

This initiative was proposed by the GUG organisation, and with the constant help of the Ministry for Gozo and Minister Justyne Caruana it became a reality.

This €500 subsidy is granted to Gozitan students to cater for some of the expenses that the said students have to take for accommodation during their scholastic year. This new initiative means that the €500 per 3 months will be divided into approximately €167 per month. This initiative will start on January of 2019.

This will help Gozitan students to budget better since they would have an income every month, rather than waiting for 3 months to ease the financial toll.

The GUG organisation would like to thank the Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana for her constant support in many initiatives that the organisation undergoes, including this one, which would not have been possible if not for her help. The organization hopes that this initiative will render beneficial to the Gozitan students residing in Malta.
