It is quite likely that most of us remember where we were when we first heard that Michael Jackson had passed away after suffering cardiac arrest.
Initially, the pop star had been preparing for his upcoming comeback tour, consisting of 10 shows in London’s O2 Arena. Fans from all around the world gathered for a rare public appearance by the man himself as he announced his “final curtain call” – This Is It, due July 2009.
Unfortunately, this was not to happen.
Months later, the world was moved as his death was pronounced, a huge loss, not just as an artist, but as a great humanitarian, who used his fame for the advantage of others in need, especially by donating millions to those suffering in poverty and sickness. All this, despite the fact that his career was tarnished by false accusations.
Today, on the sixth anniversary of his death, we pay tribute to the master of popular music, he who undoubtedly lives on forever and continues to inspire other artists and musicians for generations to come.
