Facebook now lets its users opt to send end to end encrypted messages using the Messenger app by selecting “Secret” from the conversation options. This means that messages sent using “Secret” messages are intended for you and one other person, and not even Facebook itself can see the information. Messages can also be set to self destruct after a set amount of time from the chat timer options. One has to keep in mind, however, that the messages can still be leaked and shown to others using the screenshot function.
With secret conversations, you can send messages, pictures and stickers. This doesn’t mean that you can get away from your overly attached girl or boyfriend, or get hold of illegal items!
