The famous technological debate…whose side are you on? It is a fact that it’s a topic of extensive discussion amongst many people and it probably always will be. At the end of it, it all boils down to one’s preference.
Lately, Apple have had record-breaking sales with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus while Google have had a decline, for the first time, in Android shipments (according to ABI research), so at this point, it’s not hard to say who has the upper hand.
However, figures show otherwise. For their first year, in 2014, over a billion smartphones with the Android operating system have been shipped, marking a milestone for Google.
In simple terms, this translates into Android’s future being secure for many years to come. Partly, this is because of Google’s domination in the low-end market since it seems that Apple won’t be starting to drop their prices any time soon. This also results in Apple products being unattainable in developing countries, largely due to the extravagance in their prices and it doesn’t seem like things are going to change any time soon.
