No need to long for festivities far from home. This Christmas season, campus has got you covered with everything from wine tasting, to karaoke to a make-shift Christmas market on quad. This week is full to the brim with activities that will leave no Grinch in sight.
Wine and Dine on Quad
Trash your lunch plans and don’t worry about going too far. Even if you’ve only got 5 minutes between lectures, your student organisations have got you covered. The comfort food suppliers are as follows: SDM (burgers), USPA (sandwiches), IEEE (pastizzi), UM Futsal (tuna panini), UM Racing (rice dishes).
After a long day of lectures wash all that down with some wine from Common Room during a wine-tasting taking place throughout Monday and Tuesday.
Sweets and L-Istrina
Whether you’ve got a sweet tooth that needs appeasing or a thirst to do good – no need to take a step off campus. Your gift of giving can start from the second you find a parking spot.
In order to park on campus today you’ll need a wristband which you can get by donating €1 (ideally a day before!) Once you’re settled, feel free to stop by the student organisations’ on Quad to devour brownies, cakes or cookies to your heart’s delight.
Carols and Karaoke
This year KSU made it a point to go beyond the usual idea of a Christmas Market on quad. Whether you want to show off your vocals (even if it’s after a few drinks) or you’re looking to vibe to some Christmas carols – you don’t need to go any further than right outside your lecture hall.
KSU is holding a concert on Wednesday at 1:00PM and on Friday at 12:00PM you can enjoy some classic jingles along with some classic treats like mulled wine, and roasted chestnuts. For the vocalists, or just the extroverted, Thursday you have the chance to practice your karaoke skills.
