Betapsi’s executive seems to be on hold as last Wednesday, President John Paul Muscat put his resignation letter on the table, leaving all the members in distress.
The Third Eye has been contacted by the previous Vice President of the organisation, Valeriya Bonkova about this shocking decision of Muscat, which he justified by saying that his previous role carried with it “excessive demand”.
In the light of all the work being done at the moment by the remaining members of Betapsi, in preparation for Freshers’ week, Bonkova explained to The Third Eye how an urgent decision needed to be taken in order to safeguard all the efforts of the team. Therefore, an executive meeting was held last Sunday 21st August whereby, the members agreed that Bonkova should take up the vacant role of President and Michaela Scerri, former Public Relations Officer of Betapsi, was chosen through a vote, to serve as Vice-President. This leaves yet another vacant position in the executive, for which an Extraordinary General Meeting will be held in the coming days.
In the meantime, Bonkova explained that whilst the board is experiencing a lot of undesired situations, nonetheless it is working tirelessly with an energetic team to continue reaching its objectives.
