Being asked to describe yourself in a certain amount of words, and chronicle your life in a nutshell, is never an easy task. Maria is currently living the student life, here in Malta. She is studying English and Psychology, two subjects which she never imagined she would pursue.Her passions lie in literature and sports, both of which she learns to treasure the older she gets. Her love for sports began at the age of 12 when she began swimming professionally, before which she was always the last girl to be picked during P.E. She competed for 8 years, these were some of the best years of her life, and a great way to learn all about hard work and discipline. She never really stayed away from the pool for too long. After stopping swimming competitively, she began coaching. In 2013, she took part in the notorious Gozo-Malta race and won it. To date, this is one of her greatest achievements. Literature was always present in her life, whether she chose it to be or not. When studying for her A’ levels she was lucky enough to study under the tutelage of a great teacher whose own passion brought to life an appreciation of the art which she took for granted for many years.She enjoys writing and putting her opinions and inner voice down in black and white. Her friends and family mean the world to her, her love for them has no boundaries. Travelling is unquestionably one of her top priorities. She is hungry to see the world, one trip at a time.Although she is not quite sure what her life philosophies are yet, she firmly believes in being genuine and trustworthy. These virtues definitely define a person. She aspires to be many things and, like for most 20-somethings nowadays, the world for the taking.....
