A group of 90 students, predominantly following the Commerce course at the University of Malta, this week returned from an annual business trip organised by the Association of Students of Commercial Studies (ASCS).
The trip, which this year took the students to Munich, has become one of the most reputable international events hosted by a student organisation. Apart from organising a variety of touristic engagements, ASCS immersed students in the local business environment by visiting the BMW headquarters and the Allianz Arena. The highlight of the trip was a specially tailored business challenge which tested student’s academic knowledge and inventiveness while sending them on a clue hunt across the city. The business trip was wrapped up by a one day excursion to Salzburg in nearby Austria.
"Our business trip is the most anticipated event organised by our association’, said President Denise Balzan. "’The Heart of Europe’ was the title we gave to this year’s edition, and we wanted students to experience the environment in Europe’s leading economic giant. From the overwhelming feedback we received, ASCS has succeeded in broadening students’ horizons while also making sure that it was an enjoyable week, certainly one to remember. The new bond between the group will definitely help us throughout the rest of our student lives and beyond.’
