They say that the eyes are the window to the soul. However, in today’s world, one can consider our Facebook timeline as a far more practical conveyor of our innermost identity, seeing that we spend more and more time everyday transfixed to our screens.
Here is a list of the top five characters from numerous Facebook posts…
1. The Promoter
This social media enthusiast enjoys promoting events to an extreme, be it educational activities or equally parties… offers on beverages and tickets reign free here. Events may be publicised until the last minute, with promoters mentioning special prices on ’at-the-door’ tickets.
2. Gandhi-esque
The social media account of such a member is typically imbued with immensely hopeful and encouraging messages. Posts of this type usually occur early in the morning or late at night and often contain images of a peaceful nature scene.
3. The Propogandist
Things tend to get heated very quickly when it comes to politics especially when partisanship comes into play. Nobody can ignore the politically charged commentators arguing in favour of their politicians, be it during National elections, or equally, during those held at University or post-secondary schools.
4. Selfie Central
In this category, you’ll find people who post a new self-portrait at least once per day. If you’re lucky, you might even see a series of hash tags attached referring to the lack of cosmetics or photo-enhancing filters.
5. Children Galore
Where to start? This account seems to revolve around the family. Posts generally surround the events of pregnancy, birth and child-rearing. These proud parents chronicle their child’s every milestone for all to see on a regular basis. Don’t be surprised to find that the profile and cover photos are of the little ones themselves!
Needless to say, this article should be taken with a grain of salt. Can you think of people who fit these descriptions? What other roles can you come up with?
