DESA held their AGM on May 17, where the new executive team for the term 2023/24 was announced, with Amy Borg being elected as the organisation’s president.

Presidential Comment
Together with the English department, DESA wishes to be a safe space for lovers of language and literature to meet likeminded students, celebrate their passions, and explore career opportunities.

As a student organisation, this year we look forward to strengthening the connections we have sustained over time, as well as forging new ones. Student activism should be about collaboration, a value we strive to keep very much in mind in the upcoming term.
It is needless to say that I am honoured to have been trusted with this role, and together with my executive cannot wait to share all that we have in store!
