A Year That Won’t Disappoint | Part 2

May, the endgame is upon us.

The obvious biggest opener of May is “Avengers: Endgame”, or at least it was, with new confirmation that it will be released earlier in late April, however, it will still most likely open in May at most cinemas. This release will most likely end the story of the current form of the Avengers, leading to the culmination of a six year journey for movie-goers. “Pokemon: Detective Pikachu” will also release in May, starring Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Pikachu. May will also mark the release of the live-action remake of “Aladdin”, adding to Disney’s nostalgia barge in 2019. John Wick: Chapter 3 and Gozilla: King of the Monsters will also release.

June, speaking of Disney’s nostalgia bar…

Pixar is back!! June marks the release of “Toy Story 4”, which will most likely mark the end of this fan-favorite saga. Also on the animations side will be the release of “Secret Life of Pets 2”, a sequel to the original outlook on the pets world from Illumination Entertainment. June will also give us the release of the new Men in Black Spinoff, together with an intriguing biopic called “Ford vs Ferrari” which describes the story of how Ford challenged the mighty Ferrari in the legendary 24 hours Le Mans.

July, Hakuna Matata!

You already know whats coming with that phrase. Yes, its the remake of “The Lion King”, probably the most anticipated of the live-action Disney remakes. This movie will bless us with its royal release on the 19th of July. Spiderman will also return in July, marking it in “Spiderman: Far from Home”. This will continue to add to the successful reboot of the character from Marvel’s side.

August, one for book-lovers.

There isn’t much going on in August, however, a film will be released based upon the novel series “Artemis Fowl”, featuring a strong directorial and actors combo already proven in “Murder on the Orient Express”. “Grudge” will also release, based upon a loved Japanese horror.

And that concludes Part Two! Stay tuned next week as we continue this journey into the future, to see what goodies await for us film lovers!
