In a special launch event held last week, Wolves RFC Malta revealed a new brand and club logo which will be the image for the rugby club for the years to come.
The new logo, which comes in the club’s third season of existence, brings a more minimalist principle of design to the club while still keeping in mind the key components of the club’s brand – those being the colour green and, of course, the wolf itself.
Wolves RFC Malta President Francesco Pace Parascandalo described the launch as a significant part of the club’s history, noting that “it signifies another step forward in the right direction” for the club.
“Carrying out a full rebrand is no joke, and it is a process that has been ongoing since last November, but we think that with this new image the club is better positioned to appeal to everyone – young and old – and continue to attract more people and support”.

On the occasion of the launch, the club also revealed the brand new kits which its Women’s Team will be wearing in its debut season competing in the Malta Rugby Football Union’s Women’s Sevens League.
Wolves RFC Malta Public Relations Officer Giuseppe Attard, who spear-headed the rebranding process, explained the process undertaken to reach the final result, showing various proposed logos for the club and the changes which led to the choice of the new logo.
He said that the minimalist style of the logo and the brand as a whole, along with the altered colour palette, will give the club a more modern image which will give renewed impetus to the club.
Wolves RFC Malta Team Manager Albert Galea called the rebranding a “key moment and a significant starting point for our exciting long term vision which will see the continued development of this club.”
Pace Parascandalo also announced that the club, after successfully obtaining recognition by the University of Malta’s Senate, is currently in the process of seeking closer ties with the University of Malta.
These ties will be reflected in the club’s name in the near future, and the club will be supported by the University through various means such as financial and promotional support. Discussions will continue, with the club looking to secure long term ties with the University.
Finally, the club thanked its sponsors APS Bank and Farsons through the Blue Label Ale brand for their continued support to the club.
