5 Themes for Students’ Fest for KSU to Choose From

Students’ Fest is probably one of the best times of the year in the University calendar.

It is a theatrical production which links hundreds of students together, year after year.

Knowing the headache that KSU goes through each year, we decided to be slightly kinder than usual and provide them with five different titles and posters for this year’s edition to choose from.

1.    Snow White and the Seven KSJC Candidates

Although KSJC Elections are months away, this would definitely make a good Students’ Fest theme.  However, we would have to wait until November to see who, between Pulse President, Ayrton Mifsud and SDM President, Gabriel Micallef, should be casted as Snow White.

2.   Semi-Freddo (Frozen)

The name of Frozen might be slightly overused, so we opted to change it a little bit. And who would be better to play the role of Elsa than the ELSA President herself?

3.    The Lord of the Ring Road

Unarguably, Tolkien’s trilogy is one of the most successful ever. However, I’m sure that University students can come up with something different than a hobbit trying to deliver a ring. Maybe they can write a plot about how many laps you have to complete until you find a parking space, earning you the name of "The Lord of the Ring Road’.

4.   Ocean’s Eleven

Both good-looking in their own way, I would never dare to compare KSU President, Steph Dalli with George Clooney, and to say that Robert Napier resembles Brad Pitt would be a bit too much. However, this doesn’t mean that this title and poster should be completely ignored. And, if in the future they opt to go for Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen, they may also include Alexander Hili and Tina Miggiani.

5.   Vice is Beautiful

Maybe Roberto Benigni’s movie is too deep for a Students’ Fest theme, but it could do with a little twist. And which Vice is more beautiful than S-Cubed’s?
