The post-Students’ Fest blues have really kicked in for all students who somehow were involved in the production of last week’s "Is-Sister Act’. This phase automatically brings with it a strong sense of nostalgia and around 2 weeks of reminiscence. Hence, here is a nostalgic piece dedicated mainly to the Students’ Fest general cast.
1. Nothing compares to that euphoric feeling you could only get during a performance of "SAX’;
2. And we all loved the idea of having to dress up as 90s kids;
3. But our dedication towards Students’ Fest also led us to wear fishnet tights on stage for "Lady Marmalade’;
4. And the boas’ feathers, which also came with this costume, left traces of our presence everywhere we went;
5. To our surprise, 8 extra counts were played during this song, which left us dancers in a state of confusion and hesitation;
6. What about the breath-less state we ended up in after running as fast as we could in order to make it on time to continue our dance in the aisles?
7. It kind of sucks when you cannot achieve that in-sync feeling perfectly and you know your mum is watching eagerly;
8. It’s also kind of disappointing that as the phrase "general cast’ implies you will generally not feature in the final DVD;
9. But the amount of sangria that we consumed made us forget about such worries;
10. And due to everyone’s expectations that boys will always be drunk during the shows, they were likely to be accused of being drunk even when they weren’t.
11. Bruises and scars were inevitable but who cares about them when you’re having that much fun?
12. Backstage arguments between way-too-loud cast and crew were also expected;
13. Then, there was that band video which made us all shed a tear #respect
14. And god bless all the takeaways that were ordered during production week #CheatDayIsEveryday
15. What about Claudette Pace’s "Desire’ being a mandatory addition to every party’s playlist? #bestdjever
16. But that nauseous feeling we got during Friday’s party because of the excessive strobe lights wasn’t as pleasant.
17. It was hilarious how we were eager to hear everyone’s reaction after every show, only to get a “kemm huma helwiiiinn dawk is-sorijieeett”.
18. Overall, the friendships made during this experience were definitely the best part of it all!
19. So much so that Monday 11th April was the saddest day of the year…talk about post-production blues.
20. Finally, the only thing left to do is to wait eagerly for next year’s production and hope that it will be "Mamma Mia’ #hinthint
